Lighting design by artist Nick Metzler. Metzler’s process begins with the idea of precise volumes while embracing the physical limitations of the materials chosen to make them. It’s decidedly different than intending the outcome to be organic and playful or pristine and polished. The forms he seeks are rational but ultimately imperfect - that is where they find their identity.
